Inside is a buzzing village of curious and creative people who are excited about tapping into the power and magic of textiles.
Eighteen years of teaching in public schools has taught me invaluable lessons about community-building and supporting creative growth and development. I want to help you connect to your own creativity and to other creative people, so I've built us this home: the QUILTY NOOK.
Here you'll find:
You can fit the whole QUILTY NOOK in your pocket. That's pretty cool.
In addition to all the resources I mentioned above, I'm also offering smaller, more intimate community experiences through:
More information on details and pricing available inside THE NOOK or upon request.
By joining this community, you're not only investing in your own creative journey and you're also making it possible for me to sustain a life as a full-time textile artist, and for that, I thank you.
One of my core values as a maker of memory quilts, burial quilts, and funeral quilts is that these quilts should be accessible to people of all income levels. I offer variable pricing on many of these projects, and so by becoming a member of THE QUILTY NOOK you're also bringing quilts and healing to families who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
On that same note, I want this QUILTY NOOK community to be open and accessible to all. If you feel like you'd like to join but the finances are tight at the moment (money can be such a drag sometimes) please message me privately and we'll talk about other plans not shown below. I never want money to be the reason you decide not to join: the community needs your gifts, talents, and experiences!
Your support makes it possible for me to support myself as a full-time artist. I thank you for considering membership, and if there's anything I can help with, please feel free to reach out.
